Hospitality in Staten Island

In early 2019, it was reported that there were over 1,300 homeless people in Staten Island, NY. Many of these people have found themselves without a home due to a lack of affordable housing, along with eviction, domestic violence, job loss, and more. When these homeless people are single and alone with no place to stay, they are at a higher risk of declining mental health, addiction disorders, and other serious health issues.

Project Hospitality was created in 1982 as an interfaith not-for-profit agency committed to responding to the needs of homeless people in Staten Island. This organization is primarily focused on providing resources for those that are struggling with mental health issues, chemical dependency, and HIV. They are ready and willing to provide homeless people with their basic needs such as food, clothing, necessary treatments, and shelter. Beyond that, Project Hospitality has made it their mission to provide and assist with transitional and permanent housing for all that need it.

That’s why our team at APEX Insurance Brokerage is excited to announce our support of Project Hospitality. In order to assist the members of our community who need it most, our agency has committed to donating $15 to Project Hospitality for every person you send to us for a no-obligation quote. With your help, we can make sure that the homeless people of Staten Island no longer feel estranged from their community!
